Brahmavar, Jul 10: Media is a field of communication that has undergone significant changes, said Raj Gudi, senior assistant professor at MAHE, Manipal.

Speaking at the Press Day celebration organized by the Brahmavar Taluk Working Journalists' Association at the Viveka Educational Institution auditorium in Kota on Wednesday, he stated that the media field is responsible for bringing the issues and intricacies of society to the forefront. With the current trend of digitalization in media, opportunities have opened up widely. There are many courses in this field that students should take advantage of, he added.

During the event, senior journalist Rangapayya Holla was honored by the Press Club. K Jagadish Navada, principal of Viveka Pre-University College, Kota, facilitated the honor.

The meeting was presided over by Rajesh Ganiga Achiladi, president of the Brahmavar Taluk Working Journalists' Association.

Rajesh Shetty Alevur, president of the Udupi District Working Journalists' Association, was the chief guest. Journalist Vasanth Giliyar gave the introductory remarks. Chitturu Prabhakar Achar, honorary president of the Brahmavar Working Journalists' Association, welcomed the gathering. Journalist Chandrashekhar Beejadi compered the event, and secretary Harish Kiran Thunga proposed a vote of thanks.
