Installation ceremony held by Lions Club Udupi 2024-25

Udupi, Jul 11: The induction ceremony of Lions Club Udupi for the year 2024-25 was held at the Town Hall.

Former chairman of Lions Multiple Council and former district governor of 317, Vasant Kumar Shetty administered the oath to the new president Louis Lobo and his team. On this occasion, three new members were inducted into Lions Club Udupi.

As a part of Lions service programme, a wheel chair was given to a senior citizen, financial assistance for the treatment of a cancer affected, scholarship to the students of Kediyoor school, financial assistance for the purchase of a bicycle to a government school boy and funding for the medical treatment of a sick person.

A total of seven school SSLC toppers were given scholarships on the occasion. On this occasion, Vasanth Kumar Shetty and Dr Divya V Shetty were felicitated by former district governor Dr A Rabindranath Shetty.

Lions Club Udupi's service projects help under the chairmanship of Dr Roshan Kumar Shetty, a fundraising campaign was also launched on this occasion and Rs 1 lac was raised on the occasion.

Former district governor Dr Neri Cornelio, second deputy district governor Rajeev Kotian, district cabinet secretary Srinivasa Pai and Region 3 president Melwyn Arahna were present on the occasion.

Zone 3 zonal president Pramila Lasrado, new treasurer Leslie Arvind Cornelio, outgoing Leo secretary Aditi Kini, new Leo president Lennon Cornelio, Leo secretary Avani Kini, treasurer Akshobhya Bhat, outgoing Lion Lady Council president Malini Shetty, secretary Chandrika Ravish, treasurer Suma Mudradi, the new president Loisetta Cornelio, secretary Srilakshmi Bhat and treasurer Sushma Manjunath were present.

Ravishchandra Shetty welcomed the gathering. Departing secretary Vijay Kumar Mudradi read the report, Alevoor Dinesh Kini introduced the guests. Manoj Prabhu offered the flag salute. Prakash M D Bhat, the new secretary, proposed a vote of thanks.

Alevoor Harish Kini and Rupa D Kini compered the programme.

Pramila Rodrigues and Loiseta Cornelio sang the prayer.
