Puttur: Farewell event ‘Dasvidaniya-2k24’ celebrates II M.Sc. Mathematics graduates

Puttur, Jul 11: In a heartfelt and memorable ceremony, the II M.Sc. Mathematics students were bid farewell at the event titled ‘Dasvidaniya-2k24,’ organised by the I M.Sc. students on Wednesday at the SJM Hall of the college.

The ceremony was presided over by Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, the principal, and graced by the guest of honour, Prof Ganesh Bhat K. A particularly touching moment came when the M.Sc. Mathematics students took the opportunity to felicitate Prof Ganesh Bhat K on his retirement. Prof Bhat was visibly moved by the gesture and expressed his heartfelt wishes for the future endeavours of the students.

Senior students took centre stage to reflect on their academic journey, sharing personal experiences and the invaluable lessons learned. Their heartfelt speeches resonated with the audience, highlighting the strong bonds and cherished memories formed during their time at the college.

Dr Vijaya Kumar Moleyar, the vice-principal, emphasised the importance of applying the knowledge gained to lead fulfilling and successful lives. His speech was a call to take action for the graduates to utilise their education as a foundation for their future pursuits.

Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, in his address, appreciated the unity and camaraderie among the students and their affection for their teachers. He encouraged the graduates to carry forward the values and lessons imparted during their academic journey, wishing them all the success in their future endeavours.

Rashmitha and Sushma M B rendered prayer. Sumayya Beebi welcomed, Jeevitha K S., assistant professor, presented introductory remarks and Navyashree N., proposed a the vote of thanks.
