Rs 1,800 cr white topping project for pothole-free roads in Bengaluru: DKS

Bengaluru, Jul 15: The Deputy Chief Minister announced a Rs 1800 crore plan for white-topping of 157 kms of roads to ensure a potholes-free Bengaluru.

He launched the Rs 200 crore white-topping of 19.67 kms of roads in Chamarajpet, Gandhinagar, Malleswaram and Mahalakshmipura under the ‘Brand Bengaluru, Sungam Sanchar Bengaluru’ programme.

He said white-topping and improvement of roads will be taken up throughout the city and all the works will be completed in a time-bound manner.

As part of the plans to ease the traffic congestion and improve the roads, new roads of 200 kms are being taken and white-topping works are taken up as such roads last for at least 25 years, he added.
