Mangaluru, Jul 16: Deputy commissioner (DC) Mullai Muhilan, along with other officials, visited Nanthoor and KPT junction to inspect the condition of the highway on Tuesday, July 16.

The roads at Nanthoor and KPT junction have become completely dilapidated with potholes, posing dangers to vehicular movement and causing traffic congestion.

Nanthoor and KPT junction consistently face the issue of increasing potholes, a persistent problem that concerned authorities have failed to address with a permanent solution. Dangerous potholes have also emerged on the stretch of road from Panambur to Surathkal, leading to recent accidents.

Speaking to the media, DC Mullai Muhilan said, "Due to heavy rain, potholes have emerged at KPT and Nanthoor, causing traffic congestion. I have directed the NHAI officials and city corporation to install paver blocks at Nanthoor and implement a temporary solution to fill the potholes at KPT as well."
