Bangalore: Yeddy Granted Conditional Bail in One Case, Not Free Yet

From Our Special Correspondent

Bangalore, Nov 3: After a three-week stint in jail under judicial custody in connection with the corruption cases filed against him before the Karnataka Lokayukta Special Court judge Justice N K Sundhindra Rao, the State High Court has granted conditional bail to the former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in one of the cases filed against him on alleged irregularities in denotifying lands.

However, Yeddyurappa will have to stay in the jail, as hearing on another bail application in the fourth complaint against him was postponed till Friday.

The former Chief Minister was arrested on October 15 as his application for seeking anticipatory bail was rejected by the Lokayukta Special Court. But Yedddyurappa spent the first three days in hopping from hospital to hospital due to health problems.

The State High Court, which took up hearing on the bail application filed by Yeddyucarappa in connection with the third private complaint lodged against him, granted him bail in respect of the third private complaint filed against him.

Justice B V Pinto, who heard the bail application, allowed the plea and directed the former Chief Minister, who has been in judicial custody in the Parappana Agrahara jail since the last 20 days, to furnish a surety of Rs 5 lakh and not to tamper with evidence. He has been also asked to furnish two other sureties of Rs 5 lakh each and not to go abroad.

Incidentally, Yeddyurappa was not produced before the High Court on Thursday while another accused, former minister S N Krishnaiah Setty, as well as Yeddyurappa’s sons B Y Raghavendra, Shimoga BJP MP, and B Y Vijayendra, son-in-law R N Sohan Kumar and the other accused were produced before the court.

The court issued notice to the Parappana Agrahara Jail Superintendent to explain why the former Chief Minister was not produced before court, which did not accept the contention that of lack of police personnel as the reason.

The Lokayukta court had earlier dismissed the bail application of Yeddyurappa, against whom it had issued summons in two private complaints regarding alleged irregularities in denotification of government land for pecuniary gains.

Facing arrest, Yeddyurappa had surrended before the Lokyukta court, where advocate Sirajin Basha had filed the complaints.

Meanwhile, hearing on three other cases against the former Chief Minister have been postponed till November 15.

FOR YEDDY JAIL IS THE BEST PLACE FOR THE KARMA HE DID IN 3 YEARS. AT ANY COST THIS CULPRIT SHOULD NOT BEEN GIVEN BAIL. HE SHOULD BE KEPT IN JAIL FOR ATLEAST 3 YEARS AS HE DID LOT OF SADANES IN 3 YEARS.

JUST LOOTED MINES AND LANDS. IF HE IS LET OUR OF THE HOOK HE WILL DISTROY EVIDENECE. THIS MAN WILL DO ANYTHING TO SAVE HIMSELF AS THERE ARE CENTRAL BJP LEADERS SUPPORTING THIS MAN. THE CENTRAL MINISTERS AND MPS ARE MUM NOW BUT THINGS ARE WORKING OUT WITHOUT ANYONES KNOWLEDGE FROM INSIDE. EVEN YEDDY HAS GOT RSS SUPPORT. SO YEDDY SHOULD NOT BEEN GIVEN BAIL.

It is very sad that Mr. Yeddy has been given bail in one case and another case is pending. I am surprised how he is given bail since there are much chances of tampering the evidences. He is responsible for cheating the people of Karnataka by giving thousands of acres of government land to his relatives and friends. Therefore he should not have given the bail.

Kaidi number 10462 Mr. Yeddyurappa has survived in one case (One finger is alright). To show V sign, he must get bail in the second case (one more finger). If he gets one more case/finger only he can show up V sign. But still the cases will go on.

Who knows his two fingers will go down instead up in the near future?
I think because of justice B. V. Pinto and the bomb scare worked to a certain extent.
He couldn’t withdraw cases against Christians.
But his two cases for bail hanged with a Christian Justice B. V. Pinto who gave him one bail.
Hail our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise be to God and His name be glorified.

    People,

Personally I never liked Yeddy, but always thought he is a lesser evil than corrupt, power hungry and good for nothing CONgressmen....

Now coming to bail,,, he is undertrail and this is a private complaint,,, anybody can file a private complaint against anybody... and if accused is sent to prison in these situation,,, some day all indians will be in prison...

Do I think Yeddy Corrupt???...Absolutely Yes...But I want him to go to prison after conviction not as an undertrial.....

I am proud of Hon'ble Justice BV Pinto's judgement and proud to say he is from my neighbouring village in india....

    Jai Hooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    Regards,

    Langoolacharya.

These crooks are bringing the country down and making themselves rich. Why for granting bail, seperate hearings and seperate trials. What is the difficulty in deciding once only in two or even three cases?? God save Karnataka!!!

We should have faith in system and as well as if HC sees any merit in case to give bail, well and good.If he comes out from the jail the real politics will be taking off for a new direction. If he remains inside the jail or comes out from jail....BJP will be the looser.
