Udupi: Sri Vidyeshatheertha Swamiji to perform Chaturmasya Vratha from July 25

Udupi, Jul 22: Sri Vidyeshatheertha Swamiji of Bhandarkar Math will perform Chaturmasya Vratha at Bhandarkar Math from July 25 to September 18.

Nagaraj Acharya, diwan of Puttige Math, addressing the media in a press meet held on July 22, said, "During this sacred period, daily rituals, religious discourses, and spiritual lectures will be conducted at Bhandarkar Math under the guidance of Sri Swamiji. Additionally, foot worship (pada puja), guru vandana, ekashloki Sri Madbhagavat pravachana, and other programs will be held at devotees' residences in and around Udupi. Cultural events will also take place every Saturday and Sunday at the Hall of the Math."

Nagaraj Acharya stated that in anticipation of the Chaturmasya Vratha, Sri Vidyeshatheertha Swamiji will be welcomed on July 24 at 4:30 PM from Udupi Sanskrit College. Swamiji will be ceremoniously escorted by devotees to Sri Krishna Math for darshan of the main deity, followed by rituals conducted by the incumbent seer of Paryaya Sri Puttige Math, Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, and the junior pontiff, Sri Sushrindra Teertha Swamiji.

Prasanna Acharya, secretary international, Chandrashekar Acharya, convener of Bhandarkar Math Chaturmasya Samithi, Rajesh Upadyaya, diwan of Bhandarkar Math, Jayaram Acharya, member of Chaturmasya Committee, and Vishnu Prasad Padigar, member, were present at the press meet.
