Mangalore: Goods Tempo Hits Bike from Wrong Side - Two Die on Spot

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Nov 3: Two people were killed on the spot when a goods tempo rammed into the bike they were riding here on Thursday November 3 at around 2 pm.

The accident occured at Bolangady near here.

The deceased have been identified as Harish, a pick-up driver and Uday, a cable operator, both residents of Kalladka.

The two were riding on their bike from Kalladka to BC Road, when a goods tempo plying from Mangalore drove on to the wrong side of the road and banged into their bike head-on. The two fell from the bike and were crushed under the tempo, leading to their instantaneous deaths.

It is gathered that the goods tempo driver had completely lost balance and moved too much onto the right side of the road hitting the bike hard. Later it moved  forward and stood still after being hurdled by a tree.

The tempo driver and cleaner immediately fled the scene. It is said that the lorry was a transport vehicle belonging to Reliance firm.

Bantwal sub-inspector Vivekananda and other officials arrived to the spot to conduct investigations.  The vehicular movements were restricted for a while due to the incident. A case has been registered at Bantal police station.

It is indeed sad that the two were on their way to a wedding at a hall in B C Road but fate had different plan in store for the duo.

VERY SAD NEWS. DAILY THESE SAD NEWS HAS BECOME COMMON. DRIVING CAN BE DONE BY ANYBODY BUT CONTROL THE VEHICLE IS MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE RTO MUST RESEARCH SOME METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE WHILE GIVING THE LICENCE OR RENEWING THE LICENCE.

You r right Anwar saab. Over speed & carelessness while driving are the main causes of accidents. Speed thrills but kills....driving fast can lead you to death.
