Puttur: Minor injuries reported in KSRTC bus-lorry collision in Uppinangady

Puttur, Jul 24: A KSRTC bus and a lorry collided near Barchinahalli, close to Gundya in Uppinangady, on Tuesday, leading to damage to both vehicles and minor injuries to the passengers on board.

The incident occurred when the KSRTC bus, carrying pilgrims from Kanakapura to Dharmasthala, was struck by an oncoming lorry. The force of the collision left both vehicles significantly damaged. Around 15 passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries but, fortunately, there were no serious injuries or fatalities.

Local authorities, including the Uppinangady police, arrived at the scene to assist and ensure the smooth flow of traffic on the highway.
