Karkala: Quick response prevents major damage in house fire at Kukkunduru

Karkala, Jul 27: A fire broke out in a newly constructed house near Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple Road within the Kukkunduru Village Panchayat limits in the early hours on Saturday July 27.

Officers and staff from the Karkala fire station rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire.

Their quick action averted a major disaster, although the estimated loss is around Rs 2,00,000. The operation was led by fire station officer Albert Monis, with personnel Achutha Karkera, Jay Moolya, Nityananda, and Ravichandra participating.

The house, known as Alpha Cottage, belongs to Aiyaz Habeeb Khan.
