Mangaluru, Jul 31: Mandd Sobhann Organization has been contributing immeasurably to Konkani Theatre through its Monthly Theatre Series. The 272nd edition of this will be held on August 4 at Shakthinagar's Kalaangann, during which a Tiatr titled 'Tum Naslo Tor' will be performed by a renowned Tiatr troupe from Goa. Written by Fr Milton Rodrigues, Shantaram Pawar has directed the Tiatr. Production is handled by Goan.com. Having received prizes in several categories at Kala Academy of Goa Competition, this Tiatr has been staged numerous times across Goa.
This Tiatr has been organised in remembrance of Late Joy Fernandes - A Thespian, a Journalist and a prominent Konkani Leader. A Team of 25 will be coming to Perform this Tiatr.
In Konkani Theatre, Tiatr is a form of Opera and Drama styles of presentation, and is very popular among the Konkani population of Goa and Uttara Kannada.
