Fun-unlimited at Daiji Dubai’s Laughter Session Season – 3

Dubai, Nov 7: Daiji Dubai, the forum of Konkani writers in Dubai staged their Laughter Session Season-3 and enthralled packed audience at Zomorodah Party Hall behind Post Office in Karama, here on Friday November 4.
Ek Ghadi Hason Kaadi season 1 and 2 had left the gathering amused in 2009 and 2010. The audiences were yet again put under a spell by the stand up comedy artists of Daiji Dubai and Daiji Rang Mandir.
The audiences were kept engrossed, absorbed and entertained. The show began at 11.00 am and concluded at 6.00 pm.
Well-known Orthopedic and celebrated Konkani writer Dr Edward Nazareth was invited as guest speaker for the morning session. The programme was jointly inaugurated by Dr Edward Nazareth, Joseph Mathias, the promoter of Merit Freight Systems co LLC and Stany Pinto the convener of Daiji Dubai.
This was done uniquely by chopping the apple and distributing the slices of fruits to the gathering. Inaugural address was given by Stany Pinto. Walter Nandalinke introduced Dr Edward by providing a gist of his gigantic profile. Joseph Mathias unveiled Dr Edward’s newly penned book ‘Malgadyank Bhalaiki’ (Health tips for seniors)
The health session was skillfully and magnificently presented by Dr Edward Nazareth. The power point display covered a wide range of topics such as Heart attack, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Breast Cancer etc and the related heath tips like Work out, Diet, Health check ups, Early detection etc. Dr Edward also gave the insight on adolescent behavior, the parent-Child relationship, the interrelated problems, guidance and solutions.
The comic session after lunch left everyone in side-splitting. The list of performers including distinguished Stan Ageira, Sebastian, Sunita, Nanu Marol, Walter Nandalike, Santhosh D’souza, Francis Cassia, entertained the audience with their comical stories, gags and pranks. The gathering was left amused by comic and funny capers of the recreational artists. However their performance was thoroughly professional.
As usual the prizes were given to the audience and not to the performers. Stan Ageira, Rony Byndoor and Vincy Pinto chose five winners comprising loud chuckle, noisy couple, quiet laughter, unique laughter and astonished laughter. Simon D’Mello of Dubai Leisure Holidays sponsored three free visas to UAE for the lucky winners of Daijiworld Weely lucky draw.
The comedy session was well co-ordinated Daiji Dubai’s founder member and ex-convener Dayan D’souza, who presented Ek Ghadi Hason Kadi by witty fillers between each of the performance from beginning till the end. He was well supported by hilarious guest appearance by Jeffery Castelino. Rony Byndoor compered the complete session.
