Mangalore: Chaminda Vaas Benefit T20 Match Postponed Due to Rains

Mangalore, Nov 8: The 'Chaminda Vaas Benefit Twenty20 Cricket Match' scheduled for November 19 at NMPT Grounds here has been postponed owing to heavy unseasonal rains.

As the Grounds could not be kept ready, the organizers, in consultation with the Sri Lankan team have decided to postpone the match to a future date.

The new date will be announced after mutual consultation.

This was announced through a press release by Dakshina Kannada Cricket Association and Magnum Intergrafiks Pvt Ltd.

The tournament was officially announced by veteran Sri Lankan cricketer Chaminda Vaas who was in the city during the last week of October. For the first time, an international cricket team would be visiting Mangalore to play a match.
