Udupi: Man from Katapadi Dies in Saudi Arabia Road Accident

Udupi, Nov 9: A person hailing from Manipur near Katapadi died, and three others suffered injuries of different degrees, after the car in which they were moving in, met with an accident in Saudi Arabia. The accident occurred on Monday November 7.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammed Shariff (29), son of Isubu Beary from Gujji in Manipur, Katapadi. His brother, Sadiq, relatives, Abdul Aziz, Basheer and Rahman from Muloor near Kaup, were injured in the accident.

They were returning on Monday to Jubail after offering namaaz at Mecca on Sunday on account of Eid. At night, the car they were traveling in was moving on Taif-Riyadh Road, when it skidded and was tossed around. Shariff reportedly breathed his last on the spot.

Shariff had gone to Saudi Arabia barely six months ago. He was employed in a private company located in Jubail. The injured are being treated in a local hospital. Relatives of the deceased indicated that the funeral of the deceased would be conducted in Saudi Arabia.
