Woman absconding for seven years arrested in Kaup

Kaup, Aug 20: Anuradha Karkera, who was accused in a property dispute case and had been absconding for the past seven years, was arrested by Kaup police in Mumbai.

The property dispute arose among relatives in Muloor in 2012, leading Anuradha's sister, Neeta, to file a case against her. Anuradha regularly attended court until 2017, after which she went into hiding.

Following orders from the Second ACJ and JMFC Court of Udupi, Kaup ASI Ravish Holla, along with head constables Mohammed Rafiq and Sulochana, apprehended Anuradha from Sion in Mumbai on August 18.

Anuradha was produced in court, fined Rs 15,000, and granted bail, with instructions to attend court on August 21.
