Mangaluru, Aug 21: The management of St Joseph Engineering College Vamanjoor, congratulated the SJEC-NSS unit for achieving second place in the 'Road Safety Awareness Programme' organized by the SJEC-NSS unit in collaboration with Young Indians. The event, held on July 31, focused on promoting safer roads and reducing accidents.

The programme began with a rally, which was flagged off at SJEC and proceeded to Vamanjoor junction. The event continued with a street play performed by NSS volunteers, who highlighted key issues and challenges related to road safety.

The prize was awarded by Aajeeth Kumar, road safety chair, YI Mangaluru on August 20, at SJEC Mangaluru in the presence of Dr Rio D’Souza, principal, Dr Ramananda H S, dean-student welfare, Rakesh Lobo, HR manager and Prathibha K N, coordinator. This recognition highlights the college's commitment to promoting road safety. The event was sponsored by Northern Sky and supported by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with key figures such as M Athmika Amin, CA Salome Lobo Pereira, and Aajeeh Kumar signing the certificate.
