Mangaluru, Aug 22: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, hosted a captivating guest lecture on August 21, at the Hotel Srinivas Auditorium in Mangaluru.

The distinguished speaker for the event was Clayton Anthony D’Souza, cabin crew in-charge at Air India Express Charters Ltd. The lecture covered the topic "Importance of Grooming and Career Opportunities in the Aviation Industry."

The session, focusing on airline grooming and career prospects in aviation, gave students invaluable insights into the ever-evolving aviation industry.

The session was organised by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies for the students of first MBA (aviation management) and final & second Year BBA (aviation management/ aviation and logistics management/ aviation, travel and tourism management) students. Clayton Anthony D’Souza, cabin crew in-charge at Air India Express Charters Ltd was welcomed by Tanisha, student coordinator, Aviation Forum.

The session, focusing on airline grooming and career opportunities in aviation, offered students invaluable insights into the dynamic world of the aviation industry. Clayton Anthony D’Souza, cabin crew in-charge at Air India Express Charters Ltd, delivered an engaging and informative lecture that emphasised the significance of professional grooming and its impact on career advancement within the aviation sector. He called the few students to step forward from their seats and asked them to walk as they would in a professional setting, providing immediate feedback on their posture and presentation, which enhanced their understanding and confidence.

Additionally, D’Souza conducted role-playing exercises to demonstrate effective communication techniques, guiding students on how to interact with passengers and handle different scenarios that might arise during flights, thereby better preparing them for their future careers in aviation.

Throughout the session, D’Souza shared real-life experiences and practical advice, encouraging students to pursue continuous personal development and stay updated with industry trends. His interactive approach, combining demonstrations and role-playing, provided a comprehensive and hands-on understanding of the grooming standards and professional skills necessary for a successful career in aviation. The insights offered prepared students to navigate their future careers with confidence and professionalism.
