Udupi Cong delegation meets Sathish Jarkiholi over Kanchinadka toll gate cancellation

Udupi, Aug 22: The Congress delegation has met with PWD minister Sathish Jarakiholi to demand the cancellation of the proposed toll gate at Kanchinadka on the Padubidri-Karkala state highway.

Led by KPCC Campaign Committee president Vinay Kumar Sorake, the delegation approached the PWD minister on Thursday, August 22, in Bengaluru. They urged the minister to cancel the proposed toll gate at Kanchinadka.

According to sources, the PWD minister responded positively to the request and assured a favorable outcome regarding the proposal.

Speaking with the media, Vinay Kumar Sorake said, “The Congress party delegation has met PWD Minister Sathish Jarakiholi and submitted our demand for the cancellation of the Kanchinadka toll gate. The minister has assured us of the same. There has been a full stop for the allegations which were made against the Congress party stating Congress itself had passed orders for the toll gate creation.”

The meeting was attended by KPCC Campaign Committee president Vinay Kumar Sorake, Udupi district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Congress leader Muniyal Udaykumar Shetty, District Congress Vice President Prakhyath Shetty, and leaders Jitendra Furtado, Jyothi Menon, Shanthala, Tasneen Arah among others.
