It is good to see the continued progress made by my Alma Mater. During my days - (very early forties), we had just one play ground which was used for all purposes. Certainly the student strength was a fraction of what it is today. It is good to see that St. Alopysius under the able guidance of our Rector Father Jossy Rodrigues is doing well. His predecessors too have contributed a lot for the all round improvements.

We have come a long way ever since the landing of just nine Jesuit Father of sacred memory on Idgah Hill starting the humanitarian work with a perhaps a class of of a handful of students. Today we can boast of excellent teaching facilities at our Alma Mater. The young and energetic Principal John D'Silva has done a great job under difficult circumstances. To manage 400 students is not an easy job but with the help of all well wishers he has built an excellent track record.

I join several other aloysians in saying kudos to all concerned. Let us hope that the continuous record will be maintained and even improved upon.

As an old Aloysians my good wishes are and will always be with my Alma Mater.
