Mangaluru: DC visits sea erosion-affected areas of Ucchila, Mogaveerapatna

Mangaluru, Sep 1: Deputy commissioner Mullai Muhilan, accompanied by senior officials, visited the sea erosion-affected areas of Mogaveerapatna and Ucchila in Ullal taluk on August 30.

The team conducted a thorough inspection of the damage caused by the sea erosion and discussed the immediate need for constructing a temporary retaining wall to prevent further damage to the coastline.

The DC interacted with local residents to understand their concerns and assured them of prompt action. He also directed the concerned departments to expedite the construction work and to explore long-term solutions to mitigate the impact of sea erosion in the region.
