Man Tries to Board Moving Train, Killed


New Delhi, Nov 17 (IANS): A 40-year-old man was killed when he tried to board a moving train at Nizamuddin railway station but slipped and fell on the tracks, police said Thursday.

According to police, the incident occurred around 9.30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, identified as Bhagwan, tried to board the speeding Rajdhani Exprress to Indore at Nizamuddin railway station.

"The man suffered multiple injuries and was bleeding profusely. He was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) trauma centre were he succumbed to injuries," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Railways and Crime B.S. Gurjar said.
