Brahmavar, Sep 2: A senior citizen died on the spot after being hit by a container vehicle while crossing the road in Brahmavar.
The incident occurred opposite Dharmavaram Auditorium on NH66 in Brahmavar.
The deceased is identified as Ligory D’Souza (74) of Varamballi of Brahmavar. Ligory was hit by a container vehicle while crossing the road.
Brahmavar police arrived at the scene and are reviewing CCTV footage to trace the vehicle.
A complaint is registered in Brahmavar police station by Naveen Crasta, a relative of the decease.

Tue, Sep 03 2024When the highway was originally planned, there must have been a proper bypass and alignment to avoid the Santhekatte junction. This must have been opposed by the local businessmen and local politicos to suit themselves. Now all this mess, increased costs and loss of lives.
