Bhubaneswar, Nov 17 (IANS): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik suffered a ligament injury in his right ankle after slipping and falling near his residence here Thursday, an official said.
"He slipped near the gate in Naveen Nivas at about 6.45 a.m. during his morning walk," a senior official at the chief minister office's told IANS.
"Doctors checked him and the X-ray revealed that a ligament in his right ankle has been affected," he said.
He has been advised rest and all his programmes outside home for Thursday and Friday have been cancelled. However, he will work from his residence and scheduled official meetings will be held there, he said.
