Kundapur, Sep 3: Gangolli police have arrested an accused in connection with the post office theft in Maravanthe village, under the jurisdiction of Gangolli police station. The arrest was made based on CCTV footage that provided crucial information regarding the suspect's whereabouts.
A team led by PSI Harish R and Basavaraj Kanashetti, along with officers Sandeep Kurani, Raju Naik, Nagaraj, and Dinesh, tracked down the accused, Pouzan Ahmed (19), son of Mustaq Ahmed, at Jali Road Cross in Bhatkal, Uttara Kannada district. The operation was conducted on September 3.
During the interrogation, the accused and a juvenile in conflict with the law admitted to committing the crime. The police have seized a TVS motorcycle, bearing registration number KA 30 L 0097, which was used in the theft. The accused has been produced before the court.
