Lucknow, Nov 17: The Samajwadi Party (SP) will bring no-confidence motion against the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government during the upcoming winter session of the assembly. The winter session of the assembly begins from November 21.

Justifying the decision for no-confidence motion, leader of opposition, Shivpal Yadav remarked: "The state government is neck-deep in corruption. For diverting the attention from corruption chages, Chief Minister (CM) Mayawati has proposed division of the state in four smaller states. We oppose this proposal and will fight tooth and nail to prevent any such division."

On whether the no-confidence motion will be supported by other opposition parties, Shivpal denied having any words with them. "We have adequate strength to present the no-confidence motion. Opposition parties have to take decision whether they want to support it or they accept CM's misdeeds," he said.

Shivpal claimed that being the main opposition party, it is their moral responsibility to raise the issues of corruption and rising crime incidents in the state.
