Udupi: Souharda Committee visits various Ganeshotsav celebrations in Udyavar

Udupi, Sep 7: The Souharda Committee, under the jurisdiction of St Francis Xavier Church in Udyavar, displayed unity and harmony by visiting various grand Ganeshotsav celebrations in and around the Udyavar village.

Fr Anil D’Souza, parish priest of St Francis Xavier Church, speaking on the occasion, said, “May Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, alleviate everyone's difficulties and bring peace and tranquility. Events like Ganeshotsav, held in Udyavara, a place of peace and harmony, should further inspire unity and brotherhood.”

The committee members actively participated in the Ganeshotsav celebrations organized by various local groups, including the Bal Ganeshotsav committee led by Friends Garden, Sampigenagara, Aarooru Tota, the Public Ganeshotsav Committee led by Udyavara Yuvaka Mandala, and the Ganeshotsav organized by Sangama cultural forum, all demonstrating a strong sense of communal harmony.

Present on the occasion were assistant priest Fr Stephen Rodrigues, Souharda committee president Royce Fernandes, Pratap Kumar Udyavara, Riyaz Palli, vice president of the parish pastoral committee Lawrence D'Sa, Gerald Pereira, Wilfred D’Souza, Pritesh Pinto, Melvin Noronha, and Steven Lewis. Leading members from various Ganeshotsav committees, including Jitendra Shetty, Dinesh Jattanna, Yogish Kotian, Lakshman Sanil, Ganesh Kumar, Ashok Bhandari, Venkat Bangera, Ramananda Serigar, Sanim, Alwyn Andrade, Prasad Poojari, Chetan Kumar, Suhail Abbas, and Steven Colaco, were also present.
