Lucknow, Nov 20: Chief Minister (CM) Mayawati's close aide and former minister Babu Singh Kushwaha created ripples in political circles after he wrote a letter to CM fearing threat to his life on Saturday. Kushwaha alleged senior cabinet minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui, Cabinet Secretary, Shashank Shekhar Singh and Principal Secretary (Home) Kunwar Fateh Bahadur Singh for conspiring against him.

As is the practice in ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Kushwaha was disowned and the official press release stated that he has been sacked. He is doing drama and there is no reality in his allegation, stated the release.

Kushwaha held the important Family Welfare portfolio besides several others when he had resigned after the multi-crore NRHM scam was unearthed in UP. It even led to the murder of two Chief Medical Officers (CMO) Dr VK Arya and Dr BP Singh besides Dy CMO Dr YS Sachan.

Kushwaha used to live in 6-Kalidas Marg next to CM's official residence at 5-Kalidas Marg. He was quite close to CM Mayawati and was entrusted with the finances of the party.

The letter addressed to CM has also been marked to Prime Minister, Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Chief Justice, Allahabad High Court, Director, CBI and Union Home Secretary. Kushwaha has mentioned in his letter that the trio is targetting him and he fears life threat.
