Mangaluru, Sep 17: Dakshina Kannada's district-level 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign was inaugurated by Mangaluru MP Captain Brijesh Chowta. He participated in the program held at Thota Bengre near the city port.
The event saw the presence of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr Anand, Mangaluru City Corporation commissioner Anand C L, Swachh Bharat (Grameen) district nodal officer Gnanesh M P, MCC officials, and various officers from the district's subordinate departments.
College students, members of the public, civic workers, and local school students took part in the program. On this occasion, saplings were planted in the names of the participants' mothers, and after the formal event, a cleanliness drive was organized.
