Bangalore: Lokayukta Court Orders Probe into Complaint Against BSY, Somanna

Bangalore, Nov 22 (PTI): Spelling fresh trouble for former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, the Lokayukta Court today ordered a probe into a private complaint against him, Housing Minister V Somanna and two others, alleging irregularities in denotification of land.

Lokayukta court judge N K Sudhindra Rao asked the Superintendent of Police, Lokayukta Bangalore Urban, to conduct a probe under relevant section of CrPC and submit his report on December 26.

The complainant, Ravi Krishnareddy, a software engineer, alleged that Yeddyurappa denotified 22 guntas (one gunta is about 1086 square feet) of land in Nagadevanahalli in the city in 2009 to an education trust owned by Somanna's wife Shailaja in violation of rules.

The land had already been acquired by Bangalore Development Authority in 1998, he has submitted, adding that a building constructed by the trust on it is "illegal" as it had not been accorded permission. Shailaja and Lingaraju, the erstwhile land owner, are the two other accused named in the complaint.

Yeddyurappa, who has been facing five complaints, has secured bail in two that paved the way for his release from jail on November 8 after a 25 day long stay. He has secured anticipatory bail in two others and the process in the fifth is yet to begin.

    Honourable former chief minister (sorry I mean to say "vaanara-bull" former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa is a good man but his the janma kundali star is very bad luckey. What ever he try to steal he gets caught up. What ever he tried to grab there he leaves a "land mark". By land-grabing he left his hands very dusty and that dust makes him cough and suffocate now. He must be titled as "Land Marshal Yeddyurappa".

Looks like Lokayukta is controlled by Yeddi. after coming out from a luxurious stay in jain for 25days, he would be more than happy to go back...!
