Where are the Jobs? Where are the companies investment in Mangalore? Where are the infrastructure projects? When will road , rail connectivity improve? New MP must focus on above things rather than fooling people in the name of nationalism. Doing development work to improve the happiness of the citizens is the real nationalism

How can this flag post enhance the city's tourism? First, we need to improve the roads; getting to Kadri Park often means spending 15 to 30 minutes stuck at KPT signal. The roads might look good, but they lack proper maintenance! Rather than investing 75 lakhs in this project, it would be better to repair the crucial footpath near the KSRTC bus stand or tackle other pressing issues. It feels like this is more about quick profits for leaders and a retirement fund for the outgoing mayor than truly benefiting the city.

What a waste of hard-earned tax payer money. Where is the need for such a flag — one that will be forgotten after the photo ops by the useless politicians! Money could have been better utilised to provide basic amenities to citizens.

"Since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, national sentiments have been strengthened. The national flag is a symbol of our self-respect." In the meantime, communal violence and communal hatred and All sorts of attacks (IT, ED, CBI, VHP,.BD ect.) increased at a trend which was never like that pro-Independence! The national flag is a symbol of our self-respect." Why did you not utter a word of pain and patriotism when Eshwarappa declared that National Tri colour flag need to be ow shall be replaced by BJP?

To install one flag pole 75 lakhs rupees. Approximately 4 to 5 crores for clock tower. It's a open loot case. Actual cost would be 20% of that amount. BJP is looting in the name of protectors of religion.

Utter waste of money, we know that so many things came and went at the Kadri park. There are no proper roads, the islands on roads are of no use the garden in the island not started. The road at Nantoor is bad forget about the traffic but take care of the road, there is more of gravel. What tourism do we expect? The concept of smart city is only to fool people. Nothing is great about smart city.

Will the tallest flagpole fill the stomachs of the poor? Look at your smart city, the roads have turned into swimming pools. Do the work you are supposed to do honestly. Pay attention to the necessary things. The country will not be saved by the tallest flagpole.

Within one or two years, this will break or fall, just like the Parashurama statue in Karkal and the Shivaji Maharaj statue in Maharashtra. Waste of taxpayers' money.
