Udupi: KCCCI to hold annual general body meeting, 'Prerana' award ceremony on Sep 22

Udupi, Sep 20: Karavali Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (R) to hold annual general body meeting and 'Prerana' award ceremony, at Mandavi auditorium, Kadiyali, on September 22.

Alwyn Quadros, general secretary, addressing the media in the press meet held on September 19 said, “On the occasion of 12 years’ service, the organization is holding Prerana Award 2024. Over the past 11 years, KCCCI has conducted entrepreneurial training camps, workshops, and discussions on GST, income tax, and various legal matters relevant to businesses. For the last three years, the organization has recognized deserving entrepreneurs in the community through the Prerana Award.”

 

The 'Prerana Award 202' will be presented to achievers in various categories, including:

Entrepreneur of the year 2024: Philip D’Costa Saint Anthony Construction, Koni Kundapur
Women entrepreneur award 2024: Tanuja Maben, Manipal
Young entrepreneur award 2024: Denold Jason Sequeira, JP Coconut Industry, Nakre
Progressive farmer award 2024: Julian Danti, Kuthpadi, Udupi

Children of members, who have excelled in education, music, sports, and other fields, will also be awarded on the day.

The event will be graced by president of St Milagres Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Karavar George Fernandes, MLC Ivan D'Souza, and president of the Konkani Literary Academy Jochim Stany Alvares.

The event will commence at 5 pm, featuring the award ceremony, entertainment programmes and community meal for members and their families.

Honorary president Dr Jerry Vincent Dias, president Santhosh D’Silva, directors Wilson D’Souza, Walter Saldhanha, Jeevan Salins, and Louis Lobo, were present in the press meet.
