Arjun Kapikad-starrer ‘Kalchiga’ released at Suchitra theatre

Mangaluru, Sep 21: The movie ‘Kalchiga’, which has already been released in multiplexes and received widespread appreciation from audiences, was screened at Suchitra single-screen theatre in the city on Friday.

The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Senior theatre artist Vijaya Kumar Kodialbail, speaking at the occasion, said, “After a long time, a movie featuring the talents of Tulunadu is being released. The theatre owner has promised to provide opportunities for screening Tulu movies in the future as well. We are grateful to him.”

Dr Devadas Kapikad remarked, “We regretted that Tulu movies were not being screened at Suchitra Theatre. Now that has been resolved. People should watch Kalchiga in large numbers in the coming days and make it a great success.”

Prakash Pandeshwar said, “I have watched Kalchiga. Everyone who acted in the movie has worked hard, and we should all encourage them by watching the movie.”

Present at the event were actor Arjun Kapikad, theatre owner Prashant, producer Sharat Kumar A K, Sharmila Kapikad, journalist Jagannath Shetty Bala, Jyotish Shetty, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Anoop Sagar, Kavya Arjun Kapikad, Sadashiv Amin, Ranjan Boloor, director Suman Suvarna, Madhava Shetty Bala, Udaya Acharya, Ananda Bangera, Shanil Guru, and Shantaram.
