Mangaluru: Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University conductes ‘cooking without fire’

Mangaluru, Sep 22: Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University had conducted ‘cooking without fire’ on Thursday, September 19. The competition was held to raise awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without the use of a flame, and the importance and benefits of healthy eating.

This activity taught the students teamwork, culinary skills, and the value of hard work put into cooking. The activity's goal was also to provide a venue for students to showcase their talents and explore new areas of interest. The students enjoyed the day by enthusiastically taking part in this fun learning package.

The programme was organized by the cultural coordinator Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, and Prof Kavyashree course coordinator, Institute of Aviation Studies.

The students presented lip-smacking dishes such as sandwiches, Oreo cakes, Shrikhand, Mint Mojito, Lava Cake, Chocolate Roll, Fruit Salad, Bonda Shake, Avil Milk, Vegetable Salad etc. The dishes prepared were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style by all of them and were indeed a treat for the eyes and tickling for our taste buds.

Deeksha K Shetty, Anusha and Sanjana K (II-year BBA Aviation Management) were declared as winners and received first place.

Sharfuddeen M A, Mohammed Sameer, and Mehran Hameed Sheikh (III years BBA Aviation and Logistics Management) secured second place. Nireeksha, Sameeksha, and Bhavyashree B (II Year BBA Aviation Management) took third place.

From the department of MBA Pratheeksha Shetty, John Rodrigues, and Lanster Melroy (I year MBA Aviation Management) were declared as winners from the PG department.
