Dubai : 'Sakath' Musical Evening - Artistes Assure Memorable Event

Dubai, Nov 24: 'Sakath Sangeeth Saanz', a well-planned event by Thottam parishioners in the UAE is now all set for the musical extravaganza as artistes from Mangalore and Goa have already arrived in Dubai.

'Sakath' musical event will be staged on Friday November 25 at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium. Show starts at 5 pm.

Melwyn Peris, a popular veteran composer-singer will lead the team of artistes. He will render his own compositions on public demand. "I have been asked by the organisers to render my hit numbers from various albums, so it will be a pure entertainment package for the audience" Melwyn Peris said when he arrived at Dubai International airport.





Anitha Samson who is a known voice among the audience in UAE and young composer and singer Vijay Vaz also accompanied Peris.

"Songs have been chosen carefully to cater to all kinds of music lovers. The two topmost popular Tulu songs of yesteryears will be a special attraction. 'Ekka Saka' and 'Pakkilu Mooji', will bring back the memories of the bygone days,"  said Frank Fernandes, who is the chairman of the event organising comittee.

 

Goa's two famous names Ancieto and Lulu who have staged several shows in Goa and abroad have also arrived for the event. "We are excited and looking forward to the show. Music lovers from Mangalore and Goa have always encouraged us to perform more and more...we have heard a lot about this show. We will give our best," said Lulu speaking to daijiworld.

Pramod Madhwaraj, political leader and entrepreneur hailing from Thottam will be flown in for exclusively for the event as chief guest.

According to the organisers, all tickets are expected to be sold out by Thursday as there has been a good demand. On the whole, a houseful show is on the cards.
