United Loretto Friends hosts blood donation camp at Blood Donation Centre Dubai-DHA

Media Release

Dubai, Sep 25: United Loretto Friends (ULF) proudly organized a blood donation camp on September 22, 2024, at the Blood Donation Centre-DHA, Jaddaf. With a vision centered on ‘Unity and Service,’ ULF aims to make a positive impact on the community, and this event exemplified that commitment.

More than 40 eager volunteers participated in the camp, aligning with the ‘Save A Life’ campaign established by the UAE Health Authorities. Blood donation eligibility tests were conducted systematically, ensuring that all health and safety protocols were followed prior to accepting donations. Donors had the convenience of registering the day before through a dedicated app designed for the event.

ULF extends sincere appreciation to Balakrishna Salian for his invaluable support in organizing the blood donation camp and to Godwin Castelino from Digital World for assisting with advertising materials. Under the guidance of Rupesh Pinto, ULF members provided professional support, assisting donors with registration and ensuring a comfortable experience. Each donor was treated to refreshments, including fruits, snacks, and juices, before receiving a certificate of appreciation.

In a gesture of gratitude, all donors will soon receive a ‘Donor Card’ to aid in any future emergency blood requirements.

Blood donation is a noble act of humanity that plays a crucial role in saving lives. Additionally, regular blood donations can lower the risk of heart disease and strokes, stimulate the production of new blood cells in the bone marrow, and assist the body in managing excess iron levels.

Join us in making a difference in the community—donate blood, save lives, and support your health!
