Mangaluru, Sep 26: On the occasion of Corporate Day, the Student Council of St Agnes College organized an awareness session on road safety and cybercrime. The event was held on September 26, 2024.

The program began with a guard of honour, accompanied by the college band, escorting the chief guest, Anupam Agarwal IPS, commissioner of police, Mangaluru, to the Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Auditorium. Sr Dr Vinora AC, PG co-ordinator, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. The college also felicitated Anupam Agarwal for his remarkable accomplishments in law enforcement.

In his address, Anupam Agarwal emphasized the significance of Corporate Day, urging students to strive with sincerity and excellence in today’s competitive world. He spoke on topics related to cyber fraud, road safety, and drug abuse, addressing the prevalent crimes in society.

The session included an interactive Q&A segment. The event began with a prayer song led by the college choir, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries to inaugurate the program.

Sr Roopa Rodrigues AC, vice principal, Shubharekha, registrar, Malavika Shetty, staff coordinator, heads of departments, deans, and faculty members were present. The program was compered by Ananya Madhu and Ivin Sequeira, while UG student president Privy D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
