Mangalore: Children Display Creative Skills at Pilikula Science Expo

Mangalore, Nov 25: Dakshina Kannada district level science exhibition of high school students, and drama competition went under way at Science Centre, Pilikula, on Thursday November 24.

Various science models created by students from various schools in the district will be on display at this two-day exhibition. The models have been segregated into six sections, food and agriculture, power, health, environment – contribution and management, mathematics in everyday life, and teachers’ section (teaching equipments).

A total of 84 models covering varied areas like usage of solar power for various activities, biogas, gobar gas, wind power, organic farming, medicinal plants, pulses, mathematics etc are on display at the exhibition. Models of satellites and satellite launch vehicles are among the most sought after ones among the visitors.
