Mangalore: Lamp Lighting Ceremony Organized for Nursing Students at AJ institute

Mangalore, Nov 25: Lamp lighting ceremony by the 15th batch of basic B.Sc (N) and 17th batch General Nursing & Midwifery of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing (A unit of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust) was held at the auditorium of AJ institute of Medical Science on Friday November 25.

The programme commenced with the invocation of god’s blessings. The portrait of Florence Nightingale was garlanded on the occasion. The news batch students later lit the Lamps.

15th batch of basic B Sc (N) included 96 students and 17th GNM batch included 46 students. Sr Aileen Mathias, nursing superintendent, Father Muller Hospital was the chief guest. Addressing the gathering she highlighted the need of lighting of lamp in life and whenever any new things are started.

Prashanth Shetty, vice president, LMET presided over the programme and he said that Management will extend full support for the newly inducted students to the courses to make them proficient on the courses.

Dr Amitha P Marla, director administration, AJHRC, Prashanth Shetty, vice president of LMET, Ashritha P Shetty, director, LMET, Larissa Martha Sams, principal, LMCN, Theresa Leeda Mendonsa, vice-president, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing were present on the occasion.

Imposing cultural programme was presented by the students on the occasion.

    Good luck to the Lamp Lighting Ceremony of 96 students of 15th. batch of basic B Sc(N) and the 46 students of the 17th. GNM batch. I thank the organizers for making a good show. Good pictures DAIJIWORLD and keep it up.
