Kundapura: Cycle rally 'Yodha-2024' flagged off on World Heart Day

Kundapur, Sep 26: In observance of World Heart Day, a cycle rally titled Yodha-2024 was flagged off by MP Kota Srinivas Poojary. The event was organized by the Kundapur Taluk Working Journalists Association, Rural Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Koteshwar, M G Friends Kumbashi, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal Tekkate unit, and Cycle Association Kundapur.

Speaking on the occasion, MP Kota Srinivas Poojary praised the people of Kundapur, calling them kind-hearted, and remarked that the Yodha-2024 cycle rally being conducted on World Heart Day is a testament to their compassion. He emphasized the importance of awareness regarding heart health and stated that such programs are successful when everyone takes precautions to safeguard their heart health.’

The rally torch was lit by principal Shubhakar Acharya of Bhandarkars' College, and Kundapur Town Municipal Council president Mohan Das Shenoy flagged off the rally. Nagraj Rayappa Math, president of the Kundapur Taluk Working Journalists' Association, was present among other dignitaries. Avinash Kamath compered the event.

Around 270 participants, including children and women, took part in the cycle rally, which passed along National Highway 66 and concluded at the Anegudde Temple in Kumbashi.
