It does not look that long when I reflect on my days in Padua High School as a boarder during 1956-1959 when the late Rev. Fr. V.G.F. Rego was the Headmaster. Little did I visualize then that this school of mine would rise to such glorious heights. Those were the days when we, the boarders would look at the then Bishop Perish and his Volkswagen car with awe when he used to come there daily for a sort of breath of fresh air and would we would enjoy our studies in the serenity of the surroundings and enjoy a game of cricket in the foreground or play football or volleyball and the headmaster Fr. Rego would overlook on our activities with pride and often hurl a word of encouragement little knowing how very thrilled we got by his words.
There was always this aura of thrust for progress prevailed all around and no wonder then that today the school has now reached to such enviable heights.
