Mangaluru, Sep 30: The much-awaited Mangaluru Dasara will commence from October 3 to 14 at Kudroli Gokarnanatheswara Temple.
In conjunction with Mangaluru Dasara, a half marathon will be held on October 6. While a walkathon was organized last year, this year’s event will feature a 21 km half marathon, with more than 2,000 participants expected to take part.
The grand procession will take place on October 13, as the city will be beautifully adorned with colorful lights in celebration of Dasara. Several dignitaries are expected to attend Mangaluru Dasara, with chief minister Siddaramaiah also likely to be present.
Former minister Janardhana Poojary, Kudroli temple treasurer Padmaraj, secretary Madhav Suvarna, trustee Ravishankar Mijar, and others were in attendance at the press meet to disclose the details of festivities.
