Bantwal: House damaged by lightning strike

Bantwal, Oct 1: A house in Uruwalu village of Madyanthar was extensively damaged on Monday evening after it was struck by lightning.

The house, owned by Sesappa Gowda of Taridadi, was hit around 4 pm, leaving a large gap in the wall. All electrical equipment was destroyed.

Fortunately, no casualties occurred as Sesappa Gowda had gone to pick up his children from school.

The concrete house, built nine years ago, is now completely damaged.
