Puttur: Class 4 student killed in tragic car accident

Puttur, Oct 2: A tragic accident claimed the life of a class 4 student after a car collision in Mallige Majalu, Kokkada, on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Nawaf Ismail (9), was the son of Abdul Hameed, a resident of the area.

Nawaf was a class 4 student at Ayesha School, Athoor. After returning home from school, he was sitting in his home’s sit-out area, enjoying a cup of tea when the accident occurred.

A relative was driving a car in the courtyard when the vehicle's clutch jammed, causing it to crash into Nawaf. The impact left the boy with severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to Puttur Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Another child was present in the car at the time of the accident but fortunately escaped unharmed.
