Mangalore: Karnataka Bank Team Wins KACES Volleyball Tourney

Mangalore, Nov 28: Karnataka Christian Education Society (KACES) organized an Udupi and Dakshina Kannada (DK) district-level volleyball tournament on Sunday November 27.

KACES hostel former warden Br Immanuel Bhaskar inaugurated the volleyball tournament on Sunday morning.


 

 

 

 


 

KACES secretary Dr Honeybal Cabral, KACES hostel warden Br P C James, assistant warden Br Immanuel Punith, KACES students’ secretary Vineeth Swaroop, and sports secretary Ghanashyam K Ananath were present on the occasion.

Twenty-two teams participated in the Udupi and DK district volleyball tourney.

The volleyball team of Karnataka Bank bagged the first place, Mangala–A team bagged second place.  Alvas–Moodbidri bagged the third place and Kuthyar Friends bagged the fourth place at the tourney.

KACES is on the threshold of its 40th anniversary and to mark the celebrations, it has organized Udupi and DK district level table tennis tournament, drawing, and collage competitions so far.

A cricket tournament will be held for CSI churches in Udupi and DK districts on Saturday December 10 and Sunday December 11.

“The grand finale of the 40th anniversary celebrations will be held on February 5, 2012,” informed Vineeth Swaroop.
