Bantwal, Oct 2: Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti were celebrated at Balavikas English Medium School, Vidyanagar, Mani Peraje.
Prahlad Shetty J E, president of the Balavikas Trust, inaugurated the event by offering floral tributes to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Following this, an all-faith prayer was conducted by the school’s Scouts, Guides, Cubs, and Bulbuls.
As a symbolic gesture, a cleanliness drive was organized on the school premises, involving the participation of the students.
All teaching and non-teaching staff of the school took part in the event.
