Mangalore: Kadri Shootout - Police Nab Another Bannanje Raja Aide

Mangalore, Nov 28: The district police have succeeded in arresting an alleged aide of notorious underground criminal, Bannanje Raja. He was taken into custody with the help of the Special Task Force police of Uttar Pradesh from Sakalpur in Varanasi district, it is gathered. He was brought to the city on Sunday November 27.

The arrested man has been identified as Nitesh alias Anshu Singh (20). He has been accused of involvement in a case of shoot-out, which occurred at Kadri Park area in the city some time back.

Some motor-bike borne miscreants had fired at city-based builder, Suresh Bhandary, near Kadri Park on the evening of May 26. At the time, Bhandary was moving in a car with his wife and daughter. The shooters had disappeared immediately thereafter. In this case, nine persons including Devadas Shetty, Neeraj Srivastava, Manish Kumar alias Rahul, Ali Hussain, Vinod Kulal, Amit Chaurasia, Rehaj Khan, Puttaswamy, Mohammed Javed Khan alias Javed alias Ajay Singh, were arrested. All of them are in judicial custody.

Nitesh had managed to evade arrest so far. During the interrogation, the police are said to have collected details of some more such incidents in the state with which these miscreants were involved.

They also had plans to more such operations in the state, the police have come to know. The police say they need to extensively interrogate Nitesh Singh to gather full information about his and his and his gang’s plans and activities.
