Mangaluru, Oct 3: The heritage, craft and all-round doctors’ club students of Lourdes Central School embarked on an enriching educational trip to the Aloysius Museum on Saturday September 28.

The museum, nestled in the heart of the city showcases a treasure trove of artifacts, artworks, and historical relics. This visit aimed to foster appreciation and understanding of the cultural heritage among students.

Objective:

To explore and learn about the museum's collections, highlighting the region's history, art, and culture.

Observations:

1. Pre-Historic Gallery: Students marvelled at ancient tools, pottery, and fossils, gaining insights into the lives of early human settlements
2. Art and Sculpture Section: The impressive collection of paintings, sculptures, and murals sparked discussions on various art styles and techniques.
3. Regional History Exhibit: Students discovered the significance of local dynasties, colonial influences, and the struggle for independence.
4. Interactive Sessions: Engaging workshops and guided tours facilitated hands-on experiences, encouraging students to analyse and interpret artifacts.
