Kundapur, Oct 4: Babu Shetty has been elected as the president of the management committee of Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple. The selection process took place at the temple on Friday, following the recent formation of the new management committee.
Present during the election were the temple's administrative officer and assistant commissioner, Maheshchandra, as well as executive officer Prashanth Kumar Shetty. Several management committee members, including head priest Nityananda Adiga, Mahalinga Venkanaik, Dhanakshi, Sudha K, K Surendra Shetty, Abhilash P V, U Rajesh Karanth, and Raghuram Devadiga, were also in attendance.
For the past year, the temple had been operating without a management committee, leading to administrative uncertainty. After much delay, the committee has finally been reconstituted, despite some disagreements during the process.
