Mangaluru: NIPM Mangaluru Chapter honored with best chapter award

Mangaluru, Oct 5: The National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) Mangaluru Chapter has achieved a significant milestone by being awarded the prestigious ‘Best chapter under category-A’ for the year 2023-2024. The recognition, bestowed by the national council of NIPM, highlights the chapter's exceptional contributions to the field of human resources (HR).

The award was formally presented during the 40th NIPM National Annual Conference – NATCON 2024, held on Friday, September 27, at the Dr TMA Pai International Centre, Mangaluru. Dr M H Raja, national president, and P R Basavaraju, Hon. national general secretary, presented the award to the Mangaluru team.

This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts, dedication, and unwavering commitment of the entire NIPM Mangaluru team. Steevan Pinto, chairman of the NIPM Mangaluru Chapter, expressed his immense pride and gratitude for this recognition, stating that it reflects the chapter's dedication to excellence and driving HR practices forward.

The NIPM Mangaluru Chapter has been instrumental in elevating the standards of people management in the region. The chapter conduct various programmes and activities for management students, fostering their understanding of HR policies and practices.

In addition to the best chapter award, P Purander Shetty, a life member of the NIPM Mangaluru Chapter, was honored with the 'NIPM fellowship award' for his outstanding contributions to HR over the past four decades. Shetty's expertise and leadership have significantly impacted prominent industrial establishments such as BASF and MCF. He is an alumnus of the school of social work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru.
