Kasargod, Oct 6: A man killed his wife following a family dispute on Sunday, October 6 morning at Ambalattara in the district.

The deceased has been identified as N T Beena (40), and the accused is her husband, Damodara (55), who has been taken into custody by the Ambalattara police. The murder occurred in the early hours of Sunday and was discovered only after dawn.

Damodara reportedly confessed to the murder to his neighbors. When people rushed to the scene, Beena was found lying motionless in a pool of blood. The Ambalattara police arrived at the spot and shifted the body for postmortem to Periyaram Medical College Hospital.

It is said that ongoing differences between the couple were the cause of the murder. Police stated that Damodara brutally hit his wife’s head against the wall and slit her throat. Their son, Vishal, works as a mechanic in Delhi, and only the couple was living in the house. It is learned that the couple had been having issues for the past year and a half.
